Hand Hewn Beams, Barn Beam Timbers
Reclaimed hand hewn beams, old rustic log timbers are salvaged from old barns, warehouses and other industrial structures. These buildings are the source for reclaimed white oak, old growth pine and many other wood varieties that are prized for their color, size, strength and straight grain. These reclaimed timbers come in sizes that are often unattainable today.
Recycled timbers were harvested from original stands of old growth forests, eons ago and as a result have unique old growth properties and character. They are perfect for use as reclaimed timbers in timber frames, open beam ceiling.
Another source for reclaimed timbers are dead standing (from disease and forest fires), old blow-down trees and long abandoned or old lost logs that are retrieved through sustainable forest management practices.
Reclaimed hand hewn beams can be used as is. This means constructing with available dimensions and accepting character marks, bolt holes, nail holes, notches, seasoning checks and cracking.

Recycled timbers can also be re-milled with a new sawn, planed, hand hewn, or surfaced appearance to specifications. The past comes alive in our remilled beams when new life is breathed into them
